Toss dirty laundry into the hamper. Most baskets wins. You get the laundry picked up. They think they are playing a sport. Nobody loses.
A laundry hamper. Dirty laundry. A starting line (a piece of tape, or just a crack in the floor).
Set the hamper against a wall. Mark a throwing line. Start close for little kids, further back for older ones.
Each player gets the same pile. Take turns shooting, one item at a time, both feet behind the line. Count your baskets.
Most baskets wins. Move the line back one step and play again.
How many can you make in a row without missing? Write the record on the fridge. Try to beat it tomorrow.
Socks are 1 point. Shirts are 2 points. Pants or heavy items are 3 points. Balled-up sock pairs are wild, worth 5 if you land them.
Underhand only. Eyes closed. Bounce it off the wall first. Sitting down. Each round a new rule, regular shots no longer count.
Parent tip: You just got your kid to sort and put away the laundry and they think they played a sport. Say nothing. Let them believe it.
